As part of our ongoing mission to support federal programs focused on health, Leidos partners with the Department of Defense (DoD) on the Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program. Through this program, the DoD makes a commitment to its service men and women and their families to provide a counseling program that is readily accessible and offers transformative services in support of their life, health, and readiness.

As an Adult, School, CDC or Mission Ready Reserve Counselor you may encounter some of these types of scenarios.

Support children, classrooms, and parents with management and engagement strategies, reminders of appropriate developmental focus and educational activities.
Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials and tools.
Give presentations that build skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Build rapport with parents and families by attending events and creating education and awareness about the importance of counseling services.
Help military spouses balance military life, careers, education, and parenting.
Become an integral part of the military educational leadership community that shapes our nation’s future.
Help navigate separations from family and friends during deployments.
Build coping strategies for stress management and trauma management
Help Active Duty members balance civilian and military life. 
Navigate suicide prevention as well as grief and loss due to suicide.
Guide and direct active duty and there families to all the numerous available resources available to them through the military.
